BIOGRAPHY

As a junior at Rice University in 1998, earned All-American honors after hitting .394 with 25 HR and 91 RBI...finished the season with a school-record 30-game hitting streak...also homered in seven straight games at one point...was signed by Bill Barkley.

Hit .276 (27-for-98) with 1 HR and 6 RBIs in 76 games with the Yankees (two starts in LF, 12 starts in CF, nine starts in RF). ... Made second straight Opening Day roster in 2005. ... With Columbus this season, batted .231 (37-for-160) with 4 HR and 22 RBIs in 42 games. ... Made four stints with the Yankees (Opening Day-5/4; 6/16-21; 7/1-8; 7/18-through the end of the regular season). ... Made a career-high five straight starts twice in 2005 (7/19-23 and 9/23-27). ... Established single-game career-high with three hits in 9/15 win at Tampa Bay. ... Hit walk-off solo-HR in the ninth -- the first walkoff HR of his career -- in 9/19 win vs. Baltimore. ...
